ANAS President Academician Ramiz Mehdiyev visited the Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev House-Museum of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History (NMAH) after restoration and reconstruction works.

The event, which was held in compliance with social distance and the use of medical masks, was attended by the first vice-president of ANAS, academician Isa Habibbayli, director of the NMAH academician Naila Valikhanli and museum staff.

Initially, the ANAS leadership got acquainted with the exhibition of new editions of the museum.

Recalling the Decree of the President of the country “On the celebration of the 100th anniversary of the National Museum of Azerbaijan History of the National Academy of Sciences of Azerbaijan” dated December 4, 2019, Academician Naila Valikhanli informed the guests about the House-Museum of Haji Zeynalabdin Tagiyev. She noted that the museum, created to perpetuate the memory of a well-known philanthropist, consists of 9 rooms.

Academician N. Valikhanli said that electronic monitors are installed in the museum and visitors can get acquainted with the life and work of H.Z. Tagiyev in Azerbaijani, Russian and English.

The ANAS leadership also got acquainted with the Winter Balcony, Tagiyev’s bedroom, living room, as well as the Great Patriotic War Hall and preparations for the 100th anniversary of the National Museum of the History of Azerbaijan and other rich exhibits.

Academician Naila Valikhanli also informed about the process of enriching the museum with new materials, regular work to increase its attractiveness for visitors and preparing a new composition of rich exhibits on the occasion of the 100th anniversary of the museum.

In conclusion, the President of ANAS praised the restoration work carried out in the museum and wished him success in the activities of this scientific institution.
