An event dedicated to March 8 - International Women's Day organized by the Trade Union was held at the Institute of Physiology

Opening the event with the speech, professor Ahmad Hajiyev, doctor of physical and mathematical sciences, Deputy Director for science congratulated women on this significant day. After some information about the origin of International Women's Day, Ahmad Hajiyev noted that this holiday is celebrated in many countries of the world, and today women play a special role in the socio-political, scientific and cultural life of our country.

Further, Khanaga Babayev, Ph.D. in Biology, Head of the laboratory “Pharmacology of geroprotectors of natural origin” and Elmira Aghayeva, Ph.D. in Biology, Leading Researcher of the laboratory “Neurophysiology” cordially congratulated women on the occasion and noted their incomparable role in society, family, and an exceptional role in the formation, development and protection of national values.

At the end of the event, all the women of the institute were presented with gifts.
