Senior Researcher of the Laboratory "Molecular Basis of Integrative Activity" at the Institute of Physiology - Shovgu Huseynov took 2 courses of distance learning at Harvard University - at one of the most famous universities in the world, and was awarded the certificate of this university on the topics: Fundamentals of neuroscience, part I: electrical properties of neurons and Fundamentals of neuroscience, part II: neurons and network of neurons. A young scientist who successfully completed online training said that in connection with the coronavirus pandemic, some of the leading universities in the world organized free distance learning courses in various scientific fields. These courses presented online video lectures, scientific publications of world famous universities, interactive diagrams in accordance with the studied scientific field, 3D videos, videos of experimental, practical, clinical and applied works based on the course materials, as well as videos of experiments. S. Huseynov added that interviews with world-famous scientists who received the Nobel Prize for research in this field of science were also presented here.

Huseynov noted that in order to take these courses, the level of English for the academic IELTS should be very high at the level of 7 points.

In conclusion, S. Huseynov noted that international certificates with a date of issue and a special identification number are recognized and accepted all over the world. S. Huseynov completed the course of neuroscience in a short time and successfully passed the exams. He said that he owed this success to the knowledge gained both during his studies at the Azerbaijan Medical University and during the preparation for his doctoral dissertation in philosophy at the Institute of Physiology and is grateful to the surrounding scientific environment with high intellectual potential.
