On 27 March, 2019 at the Institute of Physiology an event dedicated to the Day of Science. In this regard, the institute had an Doors Open Day and students of Azerbaijani universities had the opportunity to familiarize themselves with the work of this research institution. On this day, the Institute of Physiology was visited by students of biological faculties of BSU and API.

     Researchers of the Institute acquainted students with the research and showed the equipment used. Next, a scientific meeting was held for the students. At this stage, the Director of the Institute, Sc.D. - Ulduz Hashimova - addressed the younger generation with a welcoming speech and called on students for future research activities. Also, the Deputy Director of the Institute for Science, Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Professor - Ahmad Hajiyev - informed the audience about the history of the emergence of physiology as a scientific discipline in our country. The speech of corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences - Nuru Bayramov - aroused great interest among listeners. In his speech, the distinguished scientist of Azerbaijan in an intelligible form showed areas of potential use of knowledge acquired in the biological faculties of universities in our country.

     Also, a corresponding member of the Azerbaijan National Academy of Sciences, a scientist, whose name has scientific authority among world ichthyological researchers - Rafig Kasimov – had a speech. Students were given information about the importance of ecotoxicological research conducted at the Institute in the context of continuously increasing environmental pollution. Audiences were presented reports of young scientists of the Institute Aytan Muradova and Zemfira Gadimova, Ph.D.
